Day 1: Entry Beijing

Upon arrival in Beijing, you are met and transferred to check in the well-selected hotel we arrange for you. Relax during the remainder of the day to recover from the jet lag. If your time is ample, you can explore the city with your own eyes to have an initial impression of our capital city.



Day 2 : Beijing

Your first day tour will begin with walking across the Tiananmen Square which is the must place to visit in Beijing City. If you are interested in seeing the guard of honor raise the Chinese national flag at the Square, you need to get up very early and arrive at the Square before sunrise. Then you will enter the fabled Forbidden City which is called the Palace Museum now. About 500 years being the imperial palace, it houses numerous rare treasures and curiosities. It is now listed by the UN as World Cultural Heritage in 1987 and is the hottest tourist magnets. After enjoying an a la carte lunch at a nice restaurant, in the afternoon pay a visit to the amazing Temple of Heaven to appreciate its carefully designed buildings which integrates the architecture accomplishment of Ming and Qing Dynasties. In the evening, you will enjoy a fascinating Chinese Kungfu Show at Red Theater. (B, L)



Day 3 : Beijing

Our guide will accompany you to walk upon the Great Wall of China - Badaling Section, which will be your lifelong experience. The China Great Wall attracts thousands of visitors owing to its grandeur and historical significance. To celebrate this historic visit, your lunch is specially arranged at a local popular Sichuan cuisine restaurant. Later transfer you to visit the Sacred Way and Dingling, one of the Ming Tombs. The Sacred Way means the road leading to heaven. The legend goes that in ancient China, the Emperor, known as the Son of the Heaven, who came from Heaven to his country through the Sacred Way, also deservedly would return to Heaven through this road. After that you will be transferred back to downtown and driven by the Birds Nest (Olympic National Stadium) to see its appearance at a distance. (B, L).



Day 4 : Beijing/ Xian

Your last stop in Beijing will be the Chinese imperial garden - the Summer Palace and a Hutong tour. Hutong, dating back to Yuan dynasty, is an old alley or lane belongs only to Beijing. Scattered in Beijing city like stars, Hutongs attract tourists from home and aboard every year by showing the essential culture and characteristics of old Beijng. At around noon, you will enjoy an a la carte lunch at a reputable restaurant. A private transfer takes you to the airport to board a flight to Xian. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to check in at the hotel.(B, L)



Day 5 : Xian

Todays highlight is a visit to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum built in the Qin Dynasty (221BC-206BC), which became the greatest archaeological discovery in the 20th century. The great excavation revealed thousands of warriors and their horses - an entire army buried for safeguarding the eternity of Emperor Qinshihuang. A decent a la carte lunch will be served at a well-known restaurant. Visit the Provincial History Museum and the City Wall after lunch. Tonight you will have the Dumpling Banquet and enjoy the wonderful Tang Dynasty Music and Dances Show at Shaanxi Opera Theater. (B, L, D)



Day 6 : Xian/ Guilin

This morning, have the last stop to the Xian Museum and the Small Wild Goose Pagoda and the Muslim Street. Then visit a local family, where an a la carte lunch will be served. After lunch, take an afternoon flight to Guilin. You will be met by your local professional tour guide and transferred to check in the hotel. (B, L)



Day 7 : Guilin/ Yangshuo

In the morning, drive about 40 minutes to the Zhujiang Dock to board your ship and start cruising on the fascinating Li River which is one of the most popular attractions in China and can be found on every travel itinerary of Guilin. En route, you will have the chance to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Mural Hill, Crown Cave, Half-Side Ferry, Yellow Cloth Shoal and Xingpings Landscape. Lunch is served on board. Disembark your ship upon arrival at Yangshuo at about 14:00. Then we specially arrange you a bicycle trip to the countryside in Yangshuo and a visit to a local villagers home. If you feel tired, we will transfer you there instead of taking bicycles. (B, L) Tips: The cruise lunch may not be as good as your expectation, please be sure you are well fed this morning at the hotel.



Day 8 : Yangshuo/ Guilin

Morning is free for you to explore the beautiful small town by yourself. Transfer back to Guilin and the leisure day highlight scenic tour takes you to Reed Flute Cave, the Seven Star Park and the Elephant Trunk Hill. The Reed Flute Cave is a wonderland of all sorts of stalactite, stone pillars and rock formations; The Seven Star Park got its name for the Seven-Star Hill, which is composed of seven peaks resembling the patterns of the seven stars in the Big Dipper while the Elephant Trunk Hill got its name because of its appearance resembling a huge elephant drinking at the riverside with its long trunk. You will find different fun at the three spots. (B, L)



Day 9 : Guilin/ Chongqing

In the morning you will be transferred to the airport to take a flight to Chongqing. Upon arrival, you will be met by your local guide with pleasant transfer. Visit the Chongqing Zoo, Residence of General Joseph W. Stilwell and Ci Qi Kou. Check in at the luxurious cruise ship. As the ship departs from Chongqing, your relaxing Yangtze River cruise begins.(B, L)



Day 10 : Chongqing/ Fengdu or Shibaozhai

The river guide will give a brief introduction of the cruise and the daily schedule after breakfast. In the afternoon, you will meet the initial onshore excursion to the "Ghost City" or Shibaozhai. The Captains Welcome Party will be held tonight.(B, L, D)



Day 11 : Shennong Stream or Three Little Gorges

The essential part of the Yangtze River cruise is coming today. You will appreciate the unique scenery of the Three Gorges. Qutang Gorge, the shortest but the grandest one. Wu Gorge is famous for its lofty peaks and mountains on the both sides. An interesting junk adventure along Shennong Stream or Three Little Gorges will expect you here, which lasts about 3-4 hours. Then sail into the Xiling Gorge and pass the Five Level Ship Lock in the evening.(B, L, D)



Day 12 : Yichang/ Shanghai

Disembark for an excursion to the under constructed Three Gorges Dam. Then pack your luggage and complete check-out procedures. Your guide will met you on board and drive to Yichang city. After having lunch, visit the Yichang Museum if time allows. Transfer you to Yichang airport to take a flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to check in the hotel. Day 13 : Shanghai

The morning tour will take you to visit the Shanghai Museum which has an immense collection of Chinese ancient art. There are altogether, over 120,000 precious cultural relics stored in this museum, including bronzes, chinaware, calligraphy, paintings, bamboo and wooden lacquer works, and so on. Then proceed to the famed Yuyuan Garden - the most celebrated classical Chinese garden in Shanghai. Yuyuan garden is characterized by an exquisite layout, beautiful scenery and artistic architecture. Each pavilion, hall, stone and stream in the garden can express the quintessence of South China landscape design from Ming and Qing dynasties. After an a la carte lunch at a reputable restaurant, we will arrange a short cruise tour along the Huangpu River and an old street in the afternoon for you. (B, L)

Day 14 : Exit Shanghai

You will be transferred to Shanghai airport to board your homebound flight according to your flight schedule. Our service ends here. (B)
